Member of British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
I believe our mental health and well being are the most important aspects of our lives.
It can be a struggle as we try to balance home and work life, maintain healthy relationships, feel good about ourselves or to just get through the day. Sometimes the past has a grip on us so we are unable to find peace or lasting happiness. Talking to someone and beginning to make sense of what we are feeling and how we arrived here can be the start of positive change and a path forward.
Therapy can be challenging but it might be the most important journey you embark on.
About Me
I have spent many years volunteering for well known charities providing emotional support for people in crisis and/or also struggling with trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, bereavement, loss of purpose, mental health & wellbeing and relationship breakdowns. I am frequently asked if I can continue to provide my services outside of this volunteering work, as the support or the number of sessions is often time limited. This is what I have set out to do and is the reason I am here.
I wanted to do more to help people with their longer term mental health recovery and grieving process, so embarked on a journey of both academic and experiential learning. Four years of academic study earned a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling – BACP Approved Practitioner Qualification.
I use an integrative approach to counselling and psychotherapy. This means I draw upon more than one psycho-therapeutic approach to work alongside your individual needs. Each of us is unique as is the support that we need.
