Most people reach out for therapy when something in life has become hard to manage. Anxiety that won’t settle. Grief that keeps resurfacing. Strain in relationships. Old experiences that continue to shape how you feel day-to-day. Or simply the sense that you’re coping on the outside while struggling internally.
Therapy offers a private space to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin to work through it.
It isn’t always easy, but it can be one of the most important steps you take towards feeling more grounded, connected and in control of your life.
About Me
I’m Chris Boseley, a BACP Registered counsellor and psychotherapist, offering therapy in Watford and the surrounding areas, as well as online.
My style is straightforward, calm, and emotionally focused. I pay close attention to what’s happening beneath the surface — the feelings, patterns, and protective habits that can keep people stuck — and we work at a pace you can tolerate.
People often come to me because they’re overwhelmed, disconnected, or repeating the same relationship dynamics, even when they’re functioning day to day. Together we make sense of what’s driving the difficulty and what changes are realistically possible, then work towards those changes in a steady, grounded way.
The aim is not just insight, but practical shift: more emotional steadiness, clearer boundaries, and a stronger sense of choice in how you live and relate.
Is this for you
This approach may fit if you tend to cope by being capable and self-reliant, but it’s starting to cost you.
